Since forming in 2016, the Cassettes have become on of the most established and in demand party bands in Europe. We have provided live entertainment for anniversaries, birthday parties, christenings and even funerals. Bjorn and the guys were an outstanding find. We spent ages looking and were absolutely delighted with our choice.
Bjorn was pleasure to deal with throughout the build up to our wedding and nothing was ever a problem for him! We honestly couldn't have asked for a better band.

I cannot speak highly enough of this fantastic band!! We hired them to perform at our wedding reception and they were amazing!
We struggled to find a suitable band initially because my husband and I have polar opposite tastes in music so we needed a band who could do a huge range of styles and on top of that we had chosen a Prince song as our first dance…a very tall order indeed!
But Bjorn and the guys absolutely nailed it! The dancefloor was full all night and all of our guests have been raving to us about how fantastic the band were. Bjorn also performed an acoustic set whilst guests were arriving at the venue which set the laid back tone of the day perfectly!
I would 100% recommend The Cassettes to anyone looking to hire a band for a wedding or event, not only are they super talented and guaranteed to get the party started but they are the nicest people too!

BOOK THIS BAND!!! Bjorn and The Cassettes were amazing!! Our wedding was last Saturday and I am still having people asking ‘who were the band?’ and where we booked them as they were so impressed!
They were fantastic start to finish! We booked them for two 45 minute sets and I’m pretty sure they gave us more on the day! They got the dance floor going early on and it never emptied until the night was over!
They built the music up and up using their wide repertoire ready for the big popular sing-along towards the end, they had everyone of all ages in their feet start to finish!
The sax was a great addition and gave the evening that something extra special!
The lads were accommodating and brilliant to deal with, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough! The videos they have on their page don’t even do them justice if I’m honest! I hope we are at another event where The Cassettes are performing soon!! Thanks again!

If you are looking for a band that makes your event memorable to you and your attending guests, then I can’t recommend these guys more highly. My wife and I wanted to have a band at our wedding last summer that ensured a full dance floor all evening and these guys certainly delivered on that.
From dealing with special requests, to giving flexibility over which songs they played (unlike other bands who we spoke to, who insisted they would dictate everything), to taking audience requests on the evening, they helped ensure our wedding was the perfect day.
And I can highly recommend insisting on the 'Sit Down/500 Hundred' mash up being played - we will never forget all of our wedding guests being sat on the floor multiple times during the song!
Bjorn has recorded and toured with the likes of Bruno Mars, Simply Red, The Who, Alex Hepburn, and Joss Stone. He also has experience in solo performance, duos, trios, and full live band function work. He loves playing with different musicians and generally loves everything about music.
Craig is a session drummer based in the North of England. Having picked up the sticks at age 11, Craig immersed himself in learning his craft, leading him to study at Salford University under the direction of renowned tutor, Dave Hassell. As a professional musician he has played, toured and recorded extensively with many bands and artists including Lauren Housley, Josephine, Graham Massey’s Toolshed, Shunya, Kristyna Myles, Jon Kenzie, Joshua Cavanagh-Brierley Nonet, Daniel Wellens (Spilt Milk), Alice Gasson, and many more.
He has also toured with the Rocky Horror Show as well as helping out with drum duties on the UK tours of Jersey Boys and Sister Act. Most recently Craig has been working with vocalists Laura White and Kiera Weathers as well as being involved in performing various teaching workshops and masterclasses across various music colleges and universities in the UK.
Matt Lawton is a Warwick Bass endorsing artist who is currently teaching at City of Liverpool college and received a BA Hons in Popular Music and Recording from Salford University. His professional work focuses on live performance in pop and jazz, playing functions and corporate events across Europe. From 2016–2017, Matt worked as musical director for several shows at the iconic Epstein Theatre.
Matt’s main passion lies with jazz. He formed Red Giant, a jazz fusion trio, in 2015 and produces original compositions and arrangements for this group. Matt plays upright bass and contributes arrangements for a range of jazz groups across the northwest, including the Jazz Flute Big Band who appeared at the London Jazz Festival 2017. In 2016, Matt was awarded the Dave Joseph Jazz Award for his contributions to the genre.
Matt works as a session musician and has appeared on numerous releases for recording artists. Matt also publishes online lessons and eBooks for bassists through his own website and appears as a guest writer for iBass magazine, producing reviews of new music and equipment.
Created by the force and some say the true heir to Darth Vader. Nobody really knows where Jimmy came from, some say he graduated with a degree from the Royal Northern College of Music but we don’t believe that. Possibly the best sax player you will ever get to see, and on the odd occasion, loves a rap!
